Cellulite Treatments

Treating cellulite is certainly no easy task. Us “normal women” with normal lives, normal paychecks and maybe even kids running around lack the type of funds and time it takes to really kick cellulite to the curb, while women who can afford the time and money can pretty much eliminate cellulite through a series of expensive treatments and/or products.

Spa or Salon Cellulite Treatments

Endermologie : This technique is professionally administered, usually by a plastic surgeon’s office by a specialist who has some sort of certification or credentials. It uses a gentle vacuum suction force on the affected areas, and this is supposed to do a few things. It stimulates circulation, which helps break up cellulite, and it also helps to drain the impurities and toxins, which is also supposed to help get rid of cellulite. You wear a protective panty-hose like apparatus during the treatments.

A full set of treatments usually runs about $1,500-$2,000.Messotherapy : This is still a fairly controversial cellulite treatment that is also professionally administered. I believe it originated over in France, and it is not offered everywhere currently. This involves actual injections of herbs and other ingredients in to the thighs which is supposed to help clear up cellulite. A series of treatments is needed, and it usually requires several treatments and is more costly than endermologie.

Liposuction : This is really more for fat reduction, but some women say it also helps with dimples. We all know what liposuction is, and it’s not a pretty procedure! Nor is it cheap.

Spa Cellulite Treatments and Wraps : Many day spas and salons now offer various cellulite treatments like body wraps, seaweed wraps and other therapeutic massages, etc. which are supposed to temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite. Even acupuncture has been used, but this only lasts about one day.

Home Cellulite Treatments and Cellulite Creams : There are many cellulite creams available. Most come with a caffeine or aminophylline ingredient, both of which help to drain excess water retention from the surface, which results in the diminishing appearance of cellulite. Take a look above for before and afters of a cream that shows results from customers who’ve used their product. It’s a cream.

Cellulite Gels : Works the same as the creams, only it comes in gel form. This is just preference, whether you might like creams or gels better.

Cellulite Patches : There is really no evidence these work yet, but like diet patches and smoking cessation patches, some companies are now offering cellulite patches that are applied locally to the affected areas and supposedly put out ingredients which help to break up cellulite and reduce its appearance.

Cellulite Treatment Pills or Supplements : There are supplements which claim to help to break up cellulite and help reduce water retention, which does contribute to the appearance and severity of cellulite. They may be worth a try, but mostly they look like they are just a fancy diuretic.

Home Wraps and Machines or Devices Designed to Minimize Cellulite : There are some vacuum machines and massaging devices that are available that work to reduce and treat cellulite by breaking down the collagen bands that make the fat “pucker” and create the unsavory appearance we all know and hate. Usually you must use them daily to get results.

For any type of cellulite treatment, even professionally administered cellulite reduction techniques, the most important part if keeping up the work that you did to get the results initially.  True, you may not need to keep the vigorous schedule of adherence, but you should always stick to a maintenance plan so the cellulite does not come back.  Remember, those collagen bands, or adhesions, that cause cellulite, REALLY fight to come back, but you must consistently massage the area and use your chosen cellulite treatment to keep it at bay.

Just now finding out about this beauty feed of yours. I have always used the Murad acne line and after a review in one of the beauty magazines showing trials of cellulite, anti-aging and firming treatments orally; I found that nivea and murad both. The nivea anti-cellulite patches work. And I mean really work, I used these for 2 months before my wedding and especially noticed the difference on my tummy and butt. Later on my loyalty to murad came through when using their lotion and pills combined and noticed a dramatic difference and my skin is more luminous as a side effect. The other product I’m desperately in love with is The Fit Flop. My husband and I bought a pair for a trip we went on where we had to do major walking. They are supremely comfortable and after noticing they work I wear them religiously out on errands and when I walk the trails here.

I do have a quest for you that you may have already done I’m not sure. I am looking for both a lip treatment and eye treatment for at home/ diy. I’m 21 but do to tanning forever my lips are starting to line and my eyes are puffy and yellowish. please email me when you cover this topic. e_rehse@yahoo.com thanks!
