I just received an email from a L’Oreal representative telling me about a new professional grade haircolor that they will have available for professional stylists soon called INOA. What does the INOA stand for? Well I wondered that myself when I read about it at first.  It stands for Innovation No Ammonia.  What is so significant about this? Well, ammonia is extremely damaging to the hair, and this product does not contain ammonia, and yet is supposed to give 100% grey coverage and professional results.

It uses what is called an ODS (Oil Delivery System), which delivers the color to the hair shaft, and provides more lipid protection to your hair (which means that the chemicals do not penetrate and therefore your hair doesn’t receive as much of the damaging results, drying out, etc.)  Be sure to check out more info on this product if you are a professional hair stylist in the upcoming issues of Modern Salon and American Salon magazines.
