What I like best about Revitol Stetch Mark Prevention and treatment cream : I love the fact that this has a very high concentration of a highly therapeutic cream for the skin called squalene oil.  Squalene oil is derived from olive oil, and it has excellent regenerative and healing properties for the skin.  You won’t find this concentration in many other creams, so this makes Revitol worth it and also explains why it can be so very effective over time.

Revitol stretch mark cream advises it’s customers that the product is best used when stretch marks are fairly new, raised and red, as it has it’s most effective results when the skin is in this condition.  There are also some great before and after pictures of customers who used Revitol that show how dramatic the effects can be over time in diminishing the appearance of stretch marks.

The stretch mark cream I’m talking about is called Stretta. Stretta is a cream for stretch marks that uses a bit of a different reduction method against stretch marks than the Revitol product.   Stretta may be more useful for existing stretch marks than as a preventive effort against stretch marks, because it has a high concentration of glycolic acid.

Glycolic acid is used in dermatologist’s offices as a fading and resurfacing acid peel.  It is great at fading scars, redness, brown age spots and other skin discolorations.  This is what makes part of the Stretta formula for stretch marks so effective.  You can see the picture to the bottom right of the customer after 3 weeks of using this formula and how effective it is at fading redness.

In fact, Stretta can be used for acne scarring, body building stretch marks, and even has been useful in fading wrinkles and sun spots because of it’s formula, so it’s in fact therapeutic and useful against several undesirable skin conditions, not just stretch marks, although that is how the product is probably best utilized.  Because of it’s concentrated nature, not much needs to be used on the desired areas, which explains it’s small bottle size.

In addition to the active ingredient glycolic acid, it contains something else called Centilla Asiatica, which helps promote the production of collagen, which is another reason for stretch marks occurring – because the collagen bonds have been broken, resulting in the discoloration of the stretched out area.
